Coron is a small coastal town at the northeast of Palawan. It is part of the Calamianes group of island. This place has it all, clean white beaches, coves, limestone cliffs, coral gardens, sheltered lakes. You can go swimming, scuba, island hopping (I think there are hundreds of island beaches there?), rock climbing, trek. Be sure to visit Cayangan lake, dubbed as the cleanest inland lake in the country. If you?re the adventure type, you can try the Barracuda Lake, where you will navigate trough sharp edged steep limestone cracks, before getting to the lake. Or go snorkeling at colomboyan island or at the sunken Japanese warships (remember to bring bread for the fishes). you can also make a trek at Mt. Tapyas, at the top is the paronamic view of the entire town.

Getting there:
Take the superferry w/c leaves at 5:00PM every Friday & arrives in coron at 6:00AM Saturday. The return trip to Manila, the ferry leaves at 10:00 PM Sunday, arrives in Manila at 10:00 AM Monday.

Though there are several agencies / resorts that offers package tours. One of them is the Village lodge, owned and operated by Mrs. Bec Fernandez. They offered us a 2-day 1 night tour package for P6,000.00 only but the group should at least consist of 10 persons. Tour package includes roundtrip fare from Mla-coron (vice-versa), tricycle transfer from pier to resort, 6 meals, 4 snacks, boat rental for the island hopping, & an overflowing coffee(imagine that?!). wala ka ng iitindihin, but to relax and enjoy. Rooms at the resort are very clean & spacious and all are airconditioned. The foods are great and comes in big serving.
