Dapitan Arcade at the corner of Dapitan and Kanlaon Streets is home to local craftware on this side of town. Started in 2003 as a depot for export over-runs for domestic sales, this craft market totalling 60 vendors presently sells wares ranging from indigenous fibers, paper, rattan, capiz, ceramics, wood and metal as gifts, home furnishings and accessories. Independently, adjacent streets have taken to similar trades and a Dapitan Tiangge, a 3-storey building across the Arcade offers customers and vendors more options.

I had long delayed my visit here as I know most cutting-edge designs for export would be in Cebu. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety and quality of most of the items though now are mixed with other imports as our arts-and-crafts exports have seen better days.
This place jampacked with items and is not air-conditioned. On a hot day, be armed with a fan, a huge handkerchief and some drinking water!

Shopping hours are from 7am to 7pm. Ample parking and newly installed streetlights make for more convenient shopping.
For inquiries look for the Arcade Administrator at (02) 411-0252
